Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays, ya filthy animals! So the new bodyswap movie “Family Switch” just came out on Netflix, so I thought I’d write up a review. First off, I’ve been waiting for this movie to come for awhile now! I originally wrote a journal post about it a couple of years ago: They definitely retooled it to be a Christmas movie. The original report said it was about two families switching and working together! Honestly, I thought the movie had been scrapped, so I was pleasantly surprised to see the movie actually be made! So on to the review… Overall, the best way to describe the movie is in three words: harmless, forgettable, fine. It’s a step up from a Hallmark Christmas movie or a Disney Channel Original movie, but not by much. Again, one of my three words, it’s fine. It’s a little unsure of its identity (forgive the pun 😄). It wants to be throwback to the 80’s/90’s swap movies (nice references thrown in!), while being a modern take, but its stuck as a “family
